Eucharistic Adoration is the adoration of Jesus Christ present in the Holy Eucharist. In many churches, like Christ the King, the Eucharist is displayed in a special holder called a monstrance. People come to pray and worship Jesus continually throughout the day and night. Christ’s great love for us was shown when he was crucified on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins
and give us eternal life. He loves us
without limit and offers Himself to us
in the Holy sacrament of the Eucharist.
“A thousand years of enjoying human glory is not worth even an hour spent sweetly communing with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament.”
--Padre Pio
Spend an hour with Jesus any way you want. You may bring your own prayer books, use those supplied, read the Bible, pray the Rosary, or just sit, relax and enjoy the sweet peace that comes from simply being in the Lord’s presence. The mere fact that you take time each week to spend an hour with Jesus pleases Him very much and is a prayer of great faith.
